Dr J. Abram McBride is a board-certified Urologist and fellowship-trained Men’s Health and sexual medicine expert. He currently provides comprehensive men’s healthcare for The Men’s MD clinic as a part of Colorado Springs Urological Associates, a Solaris Health affiliate in Colorado Springs, CO. Dr McBride and his team specialize in the full spectrum of Men’s health treatments including medical, procedural, and surgical options for male aesthetics, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, hormone deficiency/replacement, male infertility, and sexual and orgasmic dysfunction.
Dr. McBride is a native of Virginia who served in the Virginia Army National Guard, including overseas for Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. Between his army tours, Dr. McBride graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and then received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. During his medical school time, he was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. Throughout his urology residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Dr. McBride learned advanced techniques in robotic, endoscopic, male prosthetic, and reconstructive surgery. He then completed a fellowship in microsurgery and male reproductive and sexual medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

After his own experience with infertility, Dr. McBride developed a strong passion for improving men’s health, especially problems related to sexual function and male infertility. Given his personal experience, Dr McBride employs a holistic and personalized approach in treating men’s health conditions. Men’s health issues can sometimes be difficult for patients to discuss with their providers, but Dr McBride and his team provide a supportive and welcoming environment. Dr McBride and his team are dedicated to helping patients look, feel, and perform their best.
As a highly experienced prosthetic and micro-surgeon, Dr. McBride routinely performs a high-volume of penile implant procedures, vasectomy reversals, sperm retrievals, genitourinary prosthetic and reconstructive surgeries. In addition to surgery, Dr McBride also performs office-based treatments for male enhancement, aesthetics, hormone replacement, wellness optimization, and vasectomy.
Dr. McBride maintains active membership in numerous professional organizations, including the American Urological Association, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the Rocky Mountain Urological Society. He has authored numerous peer reviewed publications and book chapters. He is frequently an invited guest speaker on local TV and radio programs as well as a traveling expert speaker for topics covering penile implant surgery, erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease.
