About Dr. Robert Valenzuela

Dr. Robert J. Valenzuela, MD, FACS is a board-certified urologist and internationally recognized prosthetic urologist in New York City dedicated to advancing men’s health and helping patients restore confidence, intimacy, and quality of life. His practice focuses on the treatment of erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, male hormonal health, and other forms of male sexual dysfunction.

Widely regarded as one of the most experienced penile implant surgeons in the Northeast, Dr. Valenzuela performs a high volume of inflatable penile prosthesis procedures, as well as artificial urinary sphincter and male sling surgeries for men experiencing erectile dysfunction and post-prostatectomy urinary incontinence. His approach combines advanced surgical expertise with a patient-centered focus on restoring both function and confidence.

Dr. Valenzuela serves as Assistant Professor of Urology and Director of Penile Prosthesis Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He lectures nationally and internationally on erectile dysfunction, penile implant surgery, Peyronie’s disease reconstruction, and men’s sexual health.

Alexander Negron is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care. Born in Puerto Rico and fully bilingual in English and Spanish, he brings a culturally informed approach to his practice, ensuring patients feel understood, comfortable, and well cared for.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, Alex has focused extensively on male sexual health. He developed his expertise through years of close collaboration with Dr. Robert Valenzuela, gaining advanced training in both the medical and surgical management of complex erectile dysfunction as well as male enhancement procedures. This experience has shaped his precise technique and sound clinical judgment, leading to consistently high-quality patient outcomes.

In addition to his clinical work, Alex serves as an Adjunct Professor and is a member of the Coloplast Faculty, where he educates healthcare providers on the use of Titan® penile implants and advancements in urologic care. His practice also includes a broad focus on restorative health and hormonal optimization, addressing concerns such as erectile dysfunction, low libido, and testosterone deficiency.
